Celebrating NYO talent

We are delighted that two of our current senior orchestra players, Clarice on clarinet and Kylia on harp, have gained places with the National Youth Orchestra GB, the 'world's greatest orchestra of teenagers' in 2024 and 2025. We wish both NYO students every success and hope to hear more about their experiences at our rehearsals.

Congratulations also go to our NYO members who have been part of the recent Nottingham Young Musician Of The Year and those that made it through their heats to the semi finals and the final.

We must acknowledge the wonderful support of our students' parents and teachers in helping our members broaden their musical horizons. A look at our membership shows we have students making music with the National Children's Orchestras, Opera North Youth Orchestra as well as attending the Junior Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Junior Royal Northern College of Music, Royal College of Music Junior Department and Junior Trinity.
