NYTO RESIDENTIAL 8 - 9 June 2019


Every year the Training Orchestra hold a residential week-end at Lea Green in Matlock, Derbyshire. This is always a very popular trip, and the source of many happy and lasting memories for staff and orchestra members.

The weekend consists of several full and sectional rehearsals; an impromptu 'open rehearsal' style concert for family and friends; out-door activities; free time to socialise and of course the communal mealtimes and sleep-over that make the residential experience so special.

The cost of the trip is £125 which includes all food, accommodation and activities.

Everyone who attends the residential must fill in the consent form and have the form signed by a parent. Please do this as soon as possible and return by email or post to:

.    Clothes suitable for outdoor activity 
.    Jacket (ideally waterproof) 
.    At least one complete change of clothing 
.    Bin liner to put dirty clothes in! 
.    Spending money as there may be a tuck shop (no more than £5) 
.    The Lea Green parental consent form (if you have not already returned it to Paula)

We discourage children from bringing any expensive electrical items along and cannot take any responsibility for them.   We ask that children leave their mobile phones at home. There is very little mobile signal at Lea Green. 

Sheets and bedding are provided but not towels . You may also want to bring
DVDs, cards and board games for the evening. There are also facilities for
watching TV and DVDs, and a tuck shop which is open in the evenings.

NOTE:  If you have a child with allergies or complex dietary needs please contact Sally or Debbie who plan the menus at Lea Green to ensure that your child is well catered for. 01629 534561. In addition the dietary information listed on your consent form will be passed on to the Lea Green catering team in advance of the weekend.

If you need a lift either there or back please try to use the 'Nottingham Youth Orchestra Parents Group' to communicate with others wishing to lift share. You can search the group on Facebook and ask to join. Please make your own lift share arrangements well in advance of the residential as we cannot deal with last minute requests.
